When growing up my Family regularly talked about money, finance and responsible spending. My wife and I want our kids to have a similar upbringing with conversations to educate them about money.
We have in recent years bought a house with a mortgage and also met parents in the school playground that had fundamental misunderstanding about mortgages. We were able to share some information that saved them hundreds of pounds every month.
Gaps like this and others in understanding basic financial literacy can be the difference between thriving financially and just surviving. Adults, especially young adults, need a basic level of financial literacy to be independent and responsible with their money. We intend to help educate people with this website, especially the young to reduce mistakes, learn money and build happier and financially healthier people.
